JOB DESCRIPTION
Brevity Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with 3+ years of experience to test and improve the quality, reliability, and performance of our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to find issues, verify requirements, and help deliver software that works smoothly across different platforms.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in manual testing, understands modern QA practices, and enjoys finding and solving software issues. Experience with automation testing, API testing, and Agile development will be an added advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review business and functional requirements to create test plans and test cases.
- Design, write, and execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
- Find, report, track, and verify software defects using bug tracking tools.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, usability, and cross-browser testing.
- Work closely with developers, project managers, and business analysts to resolve issues and improve application quality.
- Test APIs using Postman or similar API testing tools.
- Take part in Agile meetings including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Prepare test reports and maintain testing documentation.
- Help create and maintain automated test scripts when required.
- Suggest better testing practices and support continuous improvement.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 3+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or Manual Testing.
- Good understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Hands-on experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira.
- Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
